Wii u retroarch download#
The 'retroarch' folder in the 7z download actually contains all of the same cores that are in the 'wiiu/apps' folders. LDSGamers, McClaz, Zerro0713, SMWiz, DJ_Femur, Dayvv, and Mister Lindon!Ĭome help a good cause and donate money to extra life! donations to extra life are given to children's hospitals! The folder setup on the Wii U version is a little confusing compared to other versions that split the root retroarch folder from the app folder. For PSX, WiiSX isn't great but some games work fine while I think Retroarch PSX right now is slow as ass since there's no fast recompiler. This video was possible thanks to my friends that support me on Patreon. Retroarch, and Wii mode - honestly, I'd just use all the Wii stuff since it's all quite good and maybe use the Wii U N64 VC for games that don't work on the Wii/you want a gamepad. Check out the Retroarch on Wii U playlist for more core setup videos as they arrive!Ĥ:16 - Adding Retroarch Files To Wii U SD Cardġ1:54 - Installing A Retroarch Wii U Channel Forwarder
Wii u retroarch install#
In this video, I cover the initial install of Retroarch onto your modded Wii U system.

The system itself was a continuation of the hardware found in the GC and Wii making it easy for the homebrew scene to implement a lot of cool things into it including emulation with Retroarch! The Wii U version of Retroarch may not feature as many systems as other platforms yet but it provides solid performance and gives your rarest Nintendo home console the ability to play games and systems that weren't lucky enough to make the Virtual Console. The Wii U suffered an unfortunate fate thanks to its poor marketing and product confusion. For the Wii U version of Retroarch, you will need a Modded Wii U, SD card, and this video guide!
